About this service

The eXtremeRate clicky kit converts the triggers and bumpers on your PS5 DualSense to short, tactile mouse click presses, a favourite mod for shooters. Choose the strong version for a firmer, heavier click or the light version for a softer touch. Professionally fitted and tested in Perth. This is a made to order service. The kit is ordered when you book, we confirm your controller model with you first so the right version arrives, and we message you when it is time to drop off.

What the clicky kit changes

Stock DualSense triggers have a long, springy pull designed for racing games and adaptive resistance. Great for immersion, slow for shooters. The eXtremeRate clicky kit replaces that long pull with a short, crisp click, like the left button on a gaming mouse, on both the triggers and the bumpers. Trigger travel drops to a couple of millimetres and every press gives a clean tactile click you can feel and hear.

The trade off is that adaptive trigger resistance is disabled. If you mostly play shooters or fighting games the difference is immediate and very hard to go back from. If you love the adaptive feel in single player games, plenty of players keep one modded controller for ranked and a stock one for story games.

Strong or light click, and how booking works

We fit two versions of the kit. The strong version has a firmer, heavier click that feels close to a mechanical keyboard switch, the popular pick for pure shooter players. The light version is softer and quieter while keeping the same short travel, which suits mixed use.

This is a made to order service. The kit is ordered as soon as you book and pay online, we confirm your controller model with you first so the right version arrives, and it usually takes one to two weeks to land. You keep your controller in the meantime and bring it in at your booked time.

Pricing and warranty

The clicky hair trigger kit is $100 fitted, covering the kit itself and the installation. The kit involves flex cables and small boards inside the trigger assemblies, so a clean install matters. We fit the kit, test every input and back the work with our 30-day warranty. Because the kit is bought in for your job, change of mind refunds are not available once it is on order.

Frequently asked questions

How much do mouse click triggers cost for a PS5 controller?

Our clicky hair trigger kit is $100 fitted in Perth, which covers the eXtremeRate kit, the installation and full testing of every input before handover.

Do clicky triggers keep the adaptive trigger feature?

No. The kit disables adaptive trigger resistance, that is the trade off for the short mouse click press. If you love the adaptive feel in single player games it is worth weighing up, or keeping a second stock controller for those.

Should I pick the strong or light click?

Strong has a firmer, heavier click close to a mechanical keyboard switch and is the popular pick for shooter players. Light is softer and quieter with the same short travel and suits mixed use. If you are unsure, mention it at booking and we will talk it through.

How long does the clicky trigger mod take?

The kit is ordered when you book and usually takes one to two weeks to arrive. You keep your controller while it is on the way, then bring it in at your booked drop off time.

Does the mod void my controller warranty?

Opening a controller or fitting non genuine parts may void any remaining manufacturer warranty, which is true of any hardware mod. Our own 30-day warranty covers the kit and the installation work.
