We upgrade your controller with hall effect thumbsticks, magnetic sensors with no physical contact to wear out, so they never develop stick drift. Fits PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series, Switch Pro and Joy-Con controllers.
What is covered: the hall effect sticks and labour, backed by our 30-day warranty.
Not covered: water or physical damage, and faults unrelated to the upgrade we performed.
The permanent answer to drift
Traditional analog sticks measure movement with a resistive strip that physically wears away, which is why every controller eventually drifts. Hall effect sticks measure position magnetically with no contact and effectively nothing to wear out. Fit them once and drift stops being a thing you think about.
This service covers the upgrade at $60 for a pair fitted to your DualSense, Xbox or Switch Pro controller, including full testing and calibration. If you want the newer TMR generation of magnetic sticks, that is our TMR Joystick Upgrade.
Controllers are perfect mail-in repairs
Every controller we service fits a small AusPost satchel, so this upgrade is available Australia wide through the mail-in service. Book online, post it in when confirmed, and it returns tracked. Perth drop-offs are usually same day.
Frequently asked questions
Is hall effect worth it over a standard stick replacement?
If you play regularly, yes. A standard replacement resets the wear clock; hall effect removes it. The price difference is small compared to fixing drift a second time.
Which controllers can you upgrade?
DualSense (PS5), Xbox Series and One controllers, and Switch controllers. If yours is something rarer, message us before booking and we will confirm module availability.
What is the difference between hall effect and TMR?
Both are magnetic and drift-immune. TMR is the newer generation with lower power draw and finer precision; it costs a little more. Our guide on hall effect vs TMR covers it in detail.
Can I post my controller in?
Yes, from anywhere in Australia. It is a small parcel and the return trip home is tracked and included.
