Factory thermal paste dries out over the years, and once it does the heat has nowhere to go. The console throttles, games stutter and the fan runs flat out trying to keep up. We strip the console down, clean the old compound off the die, apply fresh high performance paste and replace the thermal pads that carry heat off the memory and the power stages. Every console leaves our Perth bench tested under load.
Pick your console so we set aside the right pad thicknesses, the price is the same across all four. This pairs well with a fan replacement if the fan is already noisy, since the machine is apart either way.
What is covered: the thermal paste, the pads and labour, backed by our 30-day warranty.
Not covered: water or physical damage, and faults unrelated to the repair we performed.
