About this service
The Xbox Elite Series 2 and the Series 2 Core, which is the same controller inside, read each stick through a contact that rubs along a track. Heavy use wears the track until the stick reports movement you are not making. Adjusting the stick tension or swapping the thumbstick cap cannot fix that.
We replace the worn stick with a new standard stick, the same type the controller came with, then calibrate and test it before handover. A single stick is $40 if only one side is drifting, or $60 for both.
What is covered: the replacement sticks, fitting, calibration and labour, backed by our 3 month warranty.
Not covered: water or physical damage, and faults unrelated to the repair we performed.
Standard sticks, and what to expect
We fit standard sticks, the same type the Elite came with, rather than hall effect. They bring back the original feel and accurate centring. Like the originals they read position through a contact, so with heavy use they can wear again in time.
Pricing and warranty
