If your PS4 sounds like a jet engine every time a game loads, it is not broken, it is choked. Years of dust pack into the fan and the heatsink, the paste under the processor dries out, and the fan has to run flat out to shift any heat at all. We strip the console right down, clean out every dust trap, apply fresh thermal paste and rebuild it. Most consoles come off our Perth bench noticeably quieter and running cooler under load.
Pick your model. The PS4 Pro takes longer to strip and rebuild, which is why it sits a little higher. If the fan bearing itself has already gone, a clean will not save it and our PS4 Fan Replacement is the job you want instead.
