Custom PS5 Controller Shells in Perth: Options, Cost and How It Works

A stock white DualSense looks fine, but it looks like everyone else’s. A custom shell swap replaces the housing of your PS5 controller with a completely different design, from clean matte colours to camo prints, anime artwork and clear transparent shells that show off the board inside. Done properly, the result looks factory made because the internals, buttons and sticks are your original hardware in a brand new skin.

What can be swapped?

• Front shell, the faceplate that gives the controller most of its look
• Back shell, including rubberised grip and textured options for better hold
• Full transparent swaps that turn the whole controller see through

Each option can be mixed. A popular combo is a printed front with a rubber grip back, so it looks sharp and plays better in long sessions.

Why not just do it yourself?

A DualSense is not friendly to open. The face buttons, triggers, springs and flex cables all have to come out and go back in exactly right, and the adaptive trigger assemblies are easy to damage. We do these swaps regularly, test every input afterwards, and back the work with our 30 day warranty. You keep playing, we do the fiddly part.

How the made to order process works

Shells are ordered fresh for each job so you get the exact design you picked, not old stock. You choose your design on the booking page, pay online, and we order your shell straight away. When it arrives, usually within one to two weeks, we message you to drop your controller off. Most swaps are done the same day.

What does it cost in Perth?

Our shell swaps start around $70 for a front or back swap, with the shell itself and the fitting included in the price you see on the booking page. Every design shows a photo of the exact shell, so what you tap is what your controller becomes.
